Arrest and warrant inquiry

The Sheriff’s Arrest Processing page states that separate public arrest-and-warrant inquiry data has been unavailable online since July 17, 2022. Use eCourts, the Clerk, magistrate or Arrest Processing for verification.
Mecklenburg County moved to North Carolina’s electronic warrant system in July 2022. Current criminal warrants and summonses are stored through eWarrants, while the Sheriff’s repository also maintains certain older hard-copy warrants and other processes.

Correction is not expunction. Correction fixes information that is factually inaccurate. Expunction removes an accurate but legally eligible charge or conviction from ordinary public records.

Remove an eligible Mecklenburg County charge or conviction

An expunction can remove a qualifying charge or conviction and seal or destroy covered state records. The petition is normally filed in the county where the person was charged or convicted.
