During booking, Spokane County says inmates are medically screened, searched, photographed and fingerprinted; personal information and charges are entered, bail is calculated and a court date is set.
Some people may qualify for release on their own recognizance shortly after booking. The county also states that intoxicated inmates may be held for up to 12 hours, and sometimes longer, until staff determine that release is safe.

Name-only matching is unsafe. Washington State Patrol warns that names and dates of birth do not positively identify a person. Fingerprints are the definitive method of linking an individual to a criminal-history record.
Why a Spokane arrest may not appear where you expected

A very recent arrest may still be in medical screening, identification, fingerprinting or court/bail processing.
The person was released quickly

The public inmate roster is not the complete jail record
Spokane County states that jail records are held in confidence under RCW 70.48.100. A specific inmate jail-record request generally requires a signed waiver from the inmate or a judge-signed court order, plus valid identification.

To ask the judge to recall a bench warrant, file the court motion
Spokane Municipal Court currently allows defendants to file a Motion to Recall Bench Warrant, serve the City Prosecutor and appear at the scheduled hearing.
Another option is posting the required bail/bond
Municipal Court accepts applicable cash/cashier’s-check bail or a surety bond through a bonding agency.
A third option is surrender at Spokane County Jail
The court lists turning oneself in as another way to resolve a Municipal Court warrant.
If a person was arrested on a Spokane Municipal Court matter but released before seeing a judge, the court instructs the person to appear at the Clerk’s counter on the next court business day to schedule a hearing. Failure to do so can lead to a warrant.
District Court bench warrant
Spokane County District Court says a defendant or attorney can request a Bench Warrant Recall hearing at the District Court clerk windows. The warrant remains active until the person appears at the hearing and the judge decides whether to quash it.
Superior Court bench warrant
Spokane County Superior Court currently schedules criminal Bench Warrant Recall hearings through its criminal court process. Search the felony case first and follow the current court instructions before appearing.

Post Spokane bail at the correct court during business hours
Spokane County requires bonds to be posted at the appropriate court during court business hours. When the courts are closed, the Spokane County Jail accepts bonds.

Detention Services employees do not disclose the planned date or time of release for a person still in custody and do not take messages for inmates. An inmate is permitted to make a phone call upon release.
