Trace a Peoria County Arrest From Jail Booking to the Court Outcome

Peoria County uses one public portal for both jail and criminal court records. Start with the jail event, save the booking and case information, then verify what prosecutors filed and how the case ended.

This guide also covers Sheriff’s reports, warrants, current Illinois pretrial rules, jail visits, mail, calls, commissary, Public Defender help, victim services, ISP records and expungement or sealing.

Current Illinois release system

New Peoria cases use pretrial release or detention—not cash bail

Illinois eliminated cash bail on September 18, 2023. For a new 2026 criminal case, do not assume an old “10% bond” rule applies simply because a historic bond record appears online.
Release

The court may release the defendant subject to appearing and obeying court conditions.

Conditions

Conditions can include reporting, restrictions, electronic monitoring or other requirements allowed by law.

Detention petition

Prosecutors may seek detention when the case is legally eligible.

Judicial hearing

The judge determines release or legally permitted detention after the required process.

Search the newest court docket Find the current pretrial release or detention order.
Confirm every condition Do not rely on family recollection or a prior booking display.
Check the next court date Missing a required appearance can create a new warrant.
Contact defense counsel immediately if conditions are unclear Violating release conditions can create serious consequences.
Legacy bond and warrant matters

When Peoria’s published money-bond information still matters

The Sheriff’s current website still publishes bond-processing information because older cases, outstanding warrants and legacy court orders can continue to involve money-bond issues.
Published Peoria Sheriff legacy bond information
Item Published rule Use caution because
Bonding lobby Bond transactions applicable to qualifying matters are processed 24/7. A new 2026 case generally uses the no-cash-bail system.
Jail bond processing fee $60 per applicable case. Confirm that an actual money-bond order remains active.
Failure-to-appear warrant fee Certain FTA warrants carry a $75 state fee. Verify current warrant status first.
Credit-card bond processing Peoria publishes a 7% CourtMoney processing charge. Do not pay unless jail staff confirms the case is eligible.
Older warrant amount The warrant page says release was usually based on 10% of the listed amount for applicable old warrants. This is not the general rule for new post-2023 Illinois arrests.
Legacy bond verification script
I am calling about [full legal name] and case number [number].
